Nov. 1st, 2006 11:28 pmThere's an office in Port Royal that James Norrington used to know as well as his own house.
He hasn't been there in months, in the real world. So it's really no surprise that he dreams himself back there, once in a while. That he dreams he never fell from grace.
He's sitting behind the desk, papers in hand.

After the hurricane...
Jul. 26th, 2006 11:40 pmMost of the crew are dead, and those that aren't are keeping their distance, as far as possible, paddling away on whatever wreckage they can find.
He can't blame them. Nor, he finds, does he have much of a will to paddle himself. Not now.
So, sitting on a plank that was conveniently there, James Norrington floats.

Jul. 24th, 2006 06:36 amHe's been expecting the other shoe to drop since the 'one day's head start' stretched into weeks, then months, and Captain Jack Sparrow remained at large.
So, Commodore Norrington is both unsurprised and resigned to be called in to an interview with one Cutler Beckett, highly-placed in the East India Company.
It could be unrelated, of course. But it doesn't seem likely somehow.

Dec. 5th, 2005 09:49 pmHe's had the feeling that he's being watched for two days, now. He's putting it down to fatigue, because every time he looks around, there's no one there.
There's been other small oddities, though, even if he hasn't noticed them all. The teapot that mysteriously appeared in the housekeeper's cupboard. The stray cat that followed him into the fort in the morning. The seagull that watched him from a post during his daily inspection of the ships.
He did notice the odd amber-coloured eyes on the boy who brought the dispatches, but he was preoccupied, and didn't take much notice.
Laini watches, and makes notes.
